I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Janis for your huge efforts to get to a very snowy Beaminster this Saturday for Izzy’s birthday. Every one had a lovely day the beads were beautiful and all the girls had a fab time, even my Ben and Lewis decided beading was more fun than getting cold in the snow. we had children from all ages from 5 to 12 plus 3 adults that really enjoyed the whole experience. Best of all every one got to go home with the items made lots and lots of smiles as children showed their parents what they had made. I would recommend a dotty bead party to every one i know xx

Happy Birthday!

It was touch and go as to whether we were going to be able to run a Dotty Beads party for Izzy and her friends as the weather seemed to be against us. Do you remember all the snow that fell? Izzy’s party was the next day. Fortunately the main roads from Weymouth to Beaminster were quite clear!

Having set the room up, the party guests arrived together with lots of excitable ooo’s and ah’s as they clapped eyes on all the lovely beads that they were going to be using. We started by making ’memory wire’ bracelets and moved on to making a sun-catcher. Great fun for little fingers – even the boys joined in!

Making ear-rings at our latest workshop was both fun and challenging and the pair that Carole made are certainly stylish!

Each project at Dotty Beads workshops are aimed at both beginners and the more experienced alike, gaining knowledge and technique each time. The workshops are friendly and welcoming – why not come and see for yourself?

Birthday Party Fun for little girls!

Tiana and her friends had great fun on her birthday, and before the party games and food, too. They were able to chose from a lovely range of glass beads and made stunning Suncatchers to hang in their bedroom windows. Next I showed them how to make a really ‘girlie’ elasticated bracelet with a twist. I had taken some ‘letter’ beads and they added their name into their bracelet, making it very special and personalized.

The birthday parties for our youngsters last about an hour, which is just about the right amount of time for concentration for little fingers and minds!

Thanks for the workshop on Sunday, it was inspiring as ever. I do look forward to the Sunday workshops not only as we always make something fantastic but the chocie biscuits are always welcomed! If anyone wants to get creative I would highly recommend your workshops not matter what their level of skill you’re a an excellent teacher, thanks Janis, see you next month!
